The Cake Smash that nearly wasn't....

Little Luke was turning one and his mommy wanted a great cake smash birthday session for him. We've seen Luke a few times and he's been a real happy little guy. The cake was ordered and picked up, and Luke arrived at our Peterborough studio, but it soon became apparent that Luke wasn't his usual self. After a few photos, he wasn't enjoying himself and looked unwell. Poor little guy wanted his cake, but just couldn't get into it. We called the shoot off and decided to do a reshoot when he was feeling better. His mom took the cake home and put it in the freezer. She then messaged us to say that Luke had seen a doctor and had strep throat. No wonder he couldn't eat his cake. His throat was hurting!  

We waited a few weeks and then tried again. This time Luke rocked it! He loved his cake (yes, it had time to thaw out) and was the same happy little guy we have come to know and love. Enjoy the photos of his second cake smash session!
