The wedding industry have done a good job of convincing couples that it's all about details. And while details definitely add to the overall feel of the wedding, big-ticket items get a lot more play in your photos. Like backdrops at the alter, and arches for photos. So if you have to choose between really cool details, and a beautiful ceremony backdrop, that ceremony backdrop will get way more airtime in your wedding photos. Depending on the space, there aren’t a whole lot of places your photographer can stand during the ceremony, so a backdrop ends up doing a lot of the work to making your photos interesting.
In Peterborough, there is a hidden gem. Well, not really hidden as alot of people know about this and use it daily. It's part of the Trans Canada Trail, and from Jackson's Park west towards Omemee runs a beautiful path - past Lily Lake. I meet many photographers there, those that are after nature, foliage, and of course, out photographing their clients. I had a great session with this lovely family. Late summer splendor!
This year was the first year we offered Back to School minis photography sessions. All of our bookings for the sessions were Junior Kindergarten kids...so, in reality, it was not a "Back to School" shoot, but a "Going to School for the First Time" Shoot. Here are some fun shots with some great kids!
