We moan and groan about our Canadian weather in the winter. But really, shouldn't we all be embracing it and enjoying it? As Canadians, we really are lucky to have 4 seasons, which present so many opportunities for us, especially us photographers. 

We recently had the opportunity to photograph Gina and Charlie's engagement at the Peterborough Zoo! The day was cold, but the winter sun shone at times making the snow sparkle like a winter wonderland. Their love for each other is evident in all their photos. Thanks Gina and Charlie for embracing the day with us.  

Little Luke was turning one and his mommy wanted a great cake smash birthday session for him. We've seen Luke a few times and he's been a real happy little guy. The cake was ordered and picked up, and Luke arrived at our Peterborough studio, but it soon became apparent that Luke wasn't his usual self. After a few photos, he wasn't enjoying himself and looked unwell. Poor little guy wanted his cake, but just couldn't get into it. We called the shoot off and decided to do a reshoot when he was feeling better. His mom took the cake home and put it in the freezer. She then messaged us to say that Luke had seen a doctor and had strep throat. No wonder he couldn't eat his cake. His throat was hurting!  

We waited a few weeks and then tried again. This time Luke rocked it! He loved his cake (yes, it had time to thaw out) and was the same happy little guy we have come to know and love. Enjoy the photos of his second cake smash session!

We had the opportunity to meet this wonderful family and their beautiful newborn baby boy - Logan. When we arrived at their house, we were estatic to find a well-kept roomy living room with LOTS of beautiful natural light - a photographer's dream! As Logan was being fed, we chatted to the new Dad and met Diesel, the family pet. Shortly afterwards we met Logan and started to photograph him. He stayed awake for most of his session and we took some lovely photos with him in the loving arms of his parents all in soft natural light. ​We didn't use any of our studio lights for this shoot.
