![]() Though many women would like to have pictures of themselves while they are pregnant, they just can't imagine actually going through with maternity photography with a stranger. They think that it might be embarrassing or they would be too self-conscious or that they do not look very attractive with a baby bump protruding. However, we have been helping expectant mothers to feel comfortable with maternity photography for years. Because we have the utmost respect for you and your station in life, and because we believe that there is nothing more beautiful than a pregnant mother whose whole being is aglow with hopeful anticipation, we make maternity photography easy, comfortable, and perfectly natural. Maternity Photos in Your Comfort Zone Because we believe that photos should look and feel as natural as possible so as to capture the true essence of the subjects involved, we will work with you and decide what is your comfort level. You will decide on the place or places where you feel most comfortable. Often our clients choose outside photos, but most however, enjoy the privacy and comfort of our home studio located in the city of Peterborough. Wherever you decide to have your photos taken, we believes that the images should look as real as possible. To that end, we will utilize natural light so that you, and not some artificial lighting source, can shine forth in your maternity photos. At CatsMac Photography, we know that pregnancy is an exciting, sentimental, joyous, and emotional time for any expectant mother. We do whatever is necessary to make sure that you are totally comfortable with everything about your photography session. Whether this is your first pregnancy or you have experienced pregnancy before, each pregnancy begins a bond of love, nurturing, and respect between you and your child that will last a lifetime. CatsMac offers incomparable maternity photography in Peterborough and surrounding areas. 2017, it is expected that over half of all photos taken by Canadians will be from their smartphones!! The rise of the cell phone camera, with accompanying mobile photo apps, has made it easier than ever to capture the magical and mundane parts of life with a simple touch — but how many of those photos actually make it off of the screen and into physical prints?
The ease and accessibility of digital photography has made capturing every moment of our lives easy and almost automatic, but that narrative is lost somewhere in the cloud. There’s something inauthentic about a family gathering around Dad’s mobile phone while he swipes through thousands of images. We strongly recommend that our clients take the time to print out their favorite memories. You live these moments again and again through prints–framed along your stairway, bound neatly in an album, or even piled among ticket stubs and souvenirs in boxes marked year by year,” Straka said. “These moments only become cherished memories when they’re actually cherished. So how can you capture, and keep, the most important photo memories in your life – whether they live on your phone or in a digital file from your professional photographer? Here are just three ways to keep track of, and display, your favorite photo memories: Print and frame. The age-old way of displaying photographs still works well. Create a collage on your wall and switch up photos every couple of years. Canvases. Turn your photos into works of art by creating your own canvas prints. Photo printers. Connect a photo printer to your digital camera and your smartphone wirelessly. There are also apps to help! Then you can simply print the photos you know you will want to keep with the touch of a button. With instant access to a print button, you won’t lose or forget about your favorite photos. Private Cloud albums. Be careful when relying on a third-party photo application to store your photos. Also, don’t rely on your social media streams to keep your memories safe, or any individual computer or tablet. Opt instead for a cloud storage account that can be opened anywhere there is Internet access. Some babies dive right in while others prod the cake gently; it’s always fascinating to watch how babies react to their first taste of cake. With no hesitation at all, Ryder dug right in, and in, and in until his birthday cake was mere crumbs! Afterwards, he enjoyed a nice warm tub of hot water - and gave us some great "tubby" shots. Thanks Ryder for one of our messiest (but fun) cake smashes ever!
This is the one time of year that we love the most! What's NOT to love with kids, Christmas and Santa. We are so happy to be planning our Christmas minis this year. Last year we were lucky enough to have a beautiful red barnboard backdrop. This year, we will have the same barnboard, but in white-washed white! This will look stunning with our white rug, and vintage look with our props. AND...to top it off, we have added another backdrop set of a Christmas Trees for Sale booth outside in our yard! With some real trees, some fairy lights, and a sleigh and other props, we are ready to go! Our customers appreciate being able to chose one or both of the sets.
