Spring is the best time for engagement shoots! The blooms are fabulous and the weather not too hot. We were blessed with a fun loving couple and a great scenic park. Congrats Steph and Mike!
We are so excited to be a part of the blending of this fun family in July. They brought the family along for some great shots. Congrats to everyone. We love props! Everyone does. But sometimes the props can overwhelm a photo. Knowing what best fits the subject is tricky. Props are great to keep children sitting for their photo session. They are great for distracting children and adding something to the scene. But too much can distract from the theme of the shoot. We like to offer themed props (as the vintage theme above). Cake smashes have their own types of props and, of course, so do weddings! Sometime we do not use any props (i.e. maternity). Putting a prop in a person's hand can help relax them in front of the camera, and can make them feel more at ease. Using props also tells a story. Look for things that you might like to bring with you to your session. A good photographer will know how to fit it in. Wedding photography for me is a blend of photo-journalism, documenting a moment that is spontaneous yet planned by Capturing the connection and meaning of the day. I strive to produce images that display the unique, memorable passion-filled moments of the wedding events and watch the love unfold between two people as not only they join their lives together as one, but unite two families all in the name of love.
I feel blessed beyond measure to be given such a gift to document some of life’s sweetest, tender moments and Capture them in an image to reflect upon for a lifetime. |
