At the beginning of this pandemic, a bunch of local Peterborough Photographers wanted to do something special to show our appreciation for our local health care workers. We got together and decided to offer free photography sessions for the front line staff and first responders at Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC). These complimentary sessions are being offered this fall, in September and October. Here is Heather, her husband and her beautiful family. Heather is an RN who works at Peterborough Regional Health Centre hospital in the dialysis unit. We thank you Heather, for your dedication and commitment. Here is Heather's story: I am a full time RN in the dialysis unit. Having schools and daycares closed had the biggest impact on our family through all of this. Our routines have changed, work schedules were adjusted, work routines modified. At the beginning the most challenging thing was the unknowns and I think that still remains the most challenging. Policies and procedures were being changed continuously at the hospital. Not knowing what to expect day to day between work and at home was challenging. Knowing that through all of this we have been able to provide safe care to our patients. And the honking parades and recognition received definitely helped keep our morale up!
We've wanted to to Unicorn Photo Sessions for awhile now and recently got our chance after finding the PERFECT PONY called Bella. I can't believe how well these sessions turned out to be. Not only was the day perfect, but all the kids who came out had a wonderful time. Dressing Bella up to transform her into a magical unicorn was was easy. And we had the help from Auntie Mimi's Apparel with the perfect set of crowns for the kids to wear, garland for the unicorn, and a beautiful horn and flowers for Bella as well. It was absolutely ah-mazing! Bella the Unicorn was just perfect. She was so gentle and loved the kids. She loved to be led around and followed the kids everywhere. She really was like a big dog and LOVED to be petted. I wish I could keep her forever! It truly was a magical day.
We hope to run more sessions in the spring. |
