At the beginning of this pandemic, a bunch of local Peterborough Photographers wanted to do something special to show our appreciation for our local health care workers. We got together and decided to offer free photography sessions for the front line staff and first responders at Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC). These complimentary sessions are being offered this fall, in September and October. Here is Amanda, her husband and her beautiful boys. Amanda is an RN who works at the hospital in acute medical care. We can only imagine how hard it was to live in your parent's basement - not seeing your family while working during the Pandemic. We thank you Amanda, for your dedication and commitment. Here is Amanda's story: I work full time as a nurse on our acute medicine floor. My husband also works at PRHC in environmental services.
When the pandemic first started, my husband took a few weeks off to care for our children, we have 4, but the youngest two needed him home. Our youngest, who is 3 has health issues. I moved out and into my moms basement apartment in order to keep my people safe. It was scary and anxieties were high. I work with an amazing group of nurses, who always pull together for our patients and each other. Anxieties quickly diminished and we did what we do best :) I am very proud of how PRHC as a whole has take on this endeavour, and so thankful for my solid work crew :) Comments are closed.
