Behind the Scenes: My Workflow During a Winter Storm

When a snowstorm hits and the world outside slows down, I hunker down and dive into the creative heart of my work: the editing process. 

This is where the magic happens! While Jenn and sometimes Justin shoot sessions for CatsMac Photography, I (Cathy) am the one who is behind the scenes doing all the other work involved in keeping a photography business going (and yes, I do photograph sessions as well. My workflow is built around productivity by using a dual-monitor setup that allows me to maximize my creative space.

• Monitor One (Left): The Creative Canvas. I use this screen for intensive editing in Photoshop. With a large, color-calibrated display, I can zoom in on the details, adjust tones, and ensure every image is perfected. 
• Monitor Two (Right): Connection and Context. The second screen is essential for communication, organization, and sharing. It’s where I manage client emails, organize sessions, and prepare content for social media platforms. I can seamlessly transition from editing the images to creating preview gallery for my online presence for my clients and followers.

From Capture to Share - The process doesn't end when the shutter clicks. My setup ensures a smooth transition from a raw file to a finished product ready for clients. It’s about creating an efficient and enjoyable experience, even when the weather outside is wild!
